Some of these images will be nutty, some cute, and others you won't know why I added them.

I can be crazy sometimes so...just be warned! ;-)

Webpage review.

We had to show our webpage to the mentors in the internship and classmates so we could be corrected on our mistakes. Everything was fine (but can be improved, of course) except my professional statement. One of the mentors butcher it. He said you write really well, you have a lot of good things to say and have done plenty already (in my major) but as the saying goes "less is more". I got some good feedback from classmates too on what to get rid of so I look forward to correcting it. I found some tidbits I need to add to my resume. Also, I need to add some links about my research topic. I was leaning on the desk because we each had to bring a notebook to write down all the suggestions so we would not forget what needed to be done when we go back and fix our mistakes.

Swimming test.

So, I had swimming tonight. Me and these 4 guys (from top to bottom: Gregory, Camden, Spencer, and Tyrone) are the only ones who said we were confident enough to say we could swim without any doubt and he could sign our paper right now (for the internship we have to have our swimming instructor sign off saying we passed a swimming test). The swimming instructor made us swim in the shallow end in front of everyone to show that we could. Then, later on we all had to swim in the deep end to the rope in back. Most of the way we had to swim regulary then had to turn on our backs and use our feet but I chose to backstroke lol (I enjoyed showing off lol). Then.......ugh. We had to step off the lower level diving board with our arms out and one foot outward (sounds weird but I don't have a picture to show, anyone who's been in the pool and familar with a diving board should understand what I'm saying and push up with our feet when we got into the water, after that one...we had to do the high board. I hate heights with a passion. I did fairly well. When I first got up there I did freak out a little but Spencer went first and he took about 3 minutes until he finally did it. I didn't think he was going to do it...the guy is confident and cocky...nice to know he has a weak spot, lol. I did get water up my nose after the high board. After the 5 of us completed that, he said we were done with the test and everything but we still had to come to at least 2 more classes. The focus won't be on us anymore...we will just be there to help him out and our classmates. I helped a few people...one of the guys keeps putting his head underwater when you are just supposed to float in the position as a real swimmer and keep your ears above water. I'll have to work with him some more. No fatalities tonight, everything went well!!

Pasquotank River this morning.

This is how it looked from a distance when I was boating this morning (around 9:30) with my internship team. It was so cool looking so I zoomed in a little bit but this is the picture I like the most out of the pix like this. It looks different with the tree there. :)

Great-Grandmother's tombstone.

I went there after me, my sister, and my stepdad visited my stepgrandad's grave. My memories of her aren't pleasant...since I only remember seeing her when she was dying and wouldn't eat anything...I need to get some flowers for her grave or convince my grandmother to go to her mother's grave. She hasn't been in a couple of years.

Napkin + Drink.

My brother's girlfriend put her napkin (to out-do me lol) over her drink because I had put a napkin over my milk (to keep anything form getting into it... I'm funny like that) this morning when we went out to eat with my stepdad. I had never seen anyone do it this way before.
